In The Wake Of Apollo...or Spaced Voy-egg

Download this episode (64 min)
It's been 40 years since the first moon landings by the Apollo 11 mission. Despite various conspiracy theories, I like to think that the "giant leap for mankind" did actually happen. It seems a bit sad to me, that there has only ever been the one visit--with no follow-up.

There's talk now of further explorations to Earth's satellite and even missions to Mars. I hope they're for peaceful/possible colonization reasons and not to install more death machinery. I suppose we can only wait and see.

Here's my little tribute to the daring spirit of human critters, who managed to build a craft that escaped Earth's gravity and travelled to the moon and back. I tried to avoid some of the more well-known jams--anything of off "Dark Side Of The Moon" or other spacey tracks from The Floyd ("Interstellar Overdrive", "Saucerful Of Secrets", etc.), "Rocket Man" by Elton John, "Starship" by The MC5, "Starship Trooper" by Yes..and on and on....you know 'em. Anyway - fasten your seat-belts and start the countdown...
